Our street-legal golf carts (Low-Speed Vehicles) can be driven on any public road with a speed limit of 35 MPH or less. This includes most streets in Charleston and surrounding beach communities—perfect for exploring the area. Carts are not allowed on Highways, roads with 35MPH or higher speed limit or any of the surrounding bridges that connect the islands
Can I drive the golf cart across bridges?
Yes - Small local bridges with the speed limit of under 35MPH.No. You may not drive or cross bridges such as the Ravenel Bridge, Isle of Palms Connector, or James Island Connector with our golf carts.
Can I drive the golf cart on the beach or sidewalks?
Golf carts are restricted to legal roadways and must adhere to the same rules.Places that golf carts are NOT allowed to drive on include the following
- Beaches
- Sidewalks
- Bike paths
- Utility or pedestrian trails
- Driving on unauthorized surfaces like beaches can damage the motor, and you’ll be responsible for repairs.
Who is allowed to drive the golf cart?
All drivers must have the below qualifications -- Be 21 years or older
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Carry active auto insurance
Yes. All passengers must wear seat belts. This is required by law in South Carolina.
If your child uses a car seat in your regular vehicle, they will need one in the golf cart as well. Booster seats are not required or recommended.
The minimum rental is 24 hours.
Free delivery and pickup are offered for rentals of 4 days or longer.
For rentals under 4 days, there is a $100 one-time delivery/pickup fee.

No. Overloading carts is strictly prohibited for safety reasons. By law in South Carolina, each person must have their own seat on the cart.
